The Community Climate Assembly 2025 brought together community voices from across Galway to share lived experience and local action on climate. Community speakers addressed key themes including water, mobility, nature, food and wellbeing, highlighting practical responses already underway in communities.

Where and when? The Community Climate Assembly 2025 took place at 10:30-14:30 on Saturday, 27th September in the Bailey Allen Hall in Áras na Mac Léinn at University of Galway.

Who should attend? The assembly was open to everyone, free to attend, and welcomed community organisations, researchers and companies with an interest in climate action and sustainability.

Assembly outcomes
The discussions and contributions from the day have been captured in the Community Climate Assembly Report 2025, which outlines key themes, community priorities and recommendations for local climate action.

The Community Climate Assembly is organised by Aerogen, Atlantic Technological University, Corrib Beo, Galway City Community Network, Galway City Council, Galway Roscommon Education & Training Board, Galway Science & Technology Fesival, Galway Volunteer Centre, Tuath Terryland Forest Park and University of Galway.
